MAC to adopt nine-game schedule in 2028
What happened
A league-wide decision from the MAC came on September 15, 2026 and reached every program in the conference.
How big it got
Fans kept talking about it. It landed all at once, then faded.
Why it mattered
Nine MAC games by 2028 means one fewer cupcake on the schedule — for a Falcons program sitting at #75 in class rank with WR depth still thin, that extra conference fight each fall is a real roster stress test, not just a TV upgrade. BG Falcon Media
