The Big Ten postpones its fall football season, then votes to play it after all

On August 11, 2020, the Big Ten and the Pac-12 said they would not play football that fall because of concerns about COVID-19. On September 16, the conference’s presidents and chancellors voted unanimously to resume the 2020 football season, starting the weekend of October 23-24.

Michael Schill, Oregon president

We would have made this decision independent of the Big Ten.
