In his own words

Maybe if we scheduled some different — I give some of these opponents some credit, you know, we played some pretty good teams, so you’ve got to give them credit.

Career arc

His real stature score, season by season, across every program he’s coached — so a stretch that stays in one tier the whole way can still climb or sink on the line, not just flatten out. Node color marks the tier reached. Which program a stretch belongs to is carried by the shaded lane behind it.

Reached Dynasty in his 11th career season — faster than 27% of the 15 FBS coaches who have ever reached Dynasty (rank #11 of 15 by seasons-to-arrival).

job securityEarly signal — few voices

fans believe Dabo's buyout would bankrupt the program

Tbh it's probably up to Dabo. Even if the school wanted to fire him, his buyout would cripple the program.

Why does nobody mention Dabo's buyout? Clemson isn't shelling out $57,000,000 to get their best coach ever out of town.

job securityLimited signal that season

fans argue Dabo Swinney is safe from firing unless Clemson performs very poorly

Is Dabo done at Clemson if they have another disappointing year ?

Too much goodwill developed over the years to fire by far the most iconic figure in clemson sports history for 2 bad years in a row.

coaching decisionOne fan's take

One fan argues Swinney failed to adjust game plans

Clemson is going down hill and it's fans can't even realize it. Swinney was a good HC but times changed and he refused to change with it.

program directionOne fan's take

One fan believes Dabo Swinney elevated Clemson's national reputation

Clemson was an after thought before Dabo put us there minus that short period of Danny Ford and our natty then.
