Everything falls on my shoulders

We’re not running the ball well enough, not throwing the ball well enough, not good enough on third down, not good enough in the red zone, we’re turning (the ball) over too much

If there’s tough decisions to be made in that regard, I certainly have made them before and will again

6-foot-4, 230, runs like the wind, cannon arm, can make every throw and then some

I’ve mentioned (turnovers) like five times already

I keep coming back to turnovers

If we continue to lose the turnover margin, we’ll continue to lose. Period. Cut and dried

Jason is calling plays and Bryce is our guy

Turnovers can be a very elusive thing for a defense

(Gach’s) overall grade was solid, and he stepped in, and (had a) next man up mentality

We got to take the ball away at a higher rate, much higher rate than we are

I’ve been saying it for a few weeks now, that we haven’t been doing a good enough job getting takeaways on defense

I don’t want to say it’s luck, but sometimes the ball bounces your way, and sometimes it doesn’t

(Defensive coordinator) Jay Hill calls the defense and felt that based on what he was expecting and what we’re best at, he thought that was the best structure to be in

I thought our offense was the best they’ve been all year

He seems to be very, very consistent and very committed to their approach

Somebody told me we are the youngest team in the Big Ten as far as age, like 20.8 years old or something like that

Jordan [Marshall] will be available unless there’s a setback

Andrew Sprague, gosh, that’s a tough question

We do definitely need to be more consistent with our enthusiasm, passion, energy. It seems to ebb and flow a little bit

I think that our guys were definitely more excited about the challenge at Oklahoma than the other two games

His ceiling is very high, and you saw flashes of what his capabilities are, and he’s a very violent runner

We need to get him involved more

Players have got to understand there’s consequences with penalties

You pin an opponent on the 1, 2, 3-yard line, their chances of getting points are very slim, so that’s a big deal

Well, I don’t know if it was a must-win, but it’s a game that we needed to play a heck of a lot better than we did last week, and we did

I never brought that up or alluded to (Underwood losing his job)

(Running Underwood) was certainly part of the game plan, and there should have been a few more

We see him every day, and he’s been very sharp all through fall camp, and so I don’t have a great explanation right now, other than we hope to see improvement between game one and game two in the live action

He's our QB right now, and it's not something that's infinite

But as I looked, I knew it was close

We didn’t run the ball well enough at all

In the run game, the QB read aspect of it wasn’t quite as sharp as we need it to be

This game will go down in Michigan history

Well, I guess they have this Hawkeye system? I was unaware of that

It's not just Bryce's job that is not absolutely set in concrete

We have a ton of work to do

Marshall … had some struggles in the spring, some things that I wasn’t real pleased with off the field

He’s one of the best pass rushers on the team, if not the best pure pass rusher

With Lane Kiffin I think that’s a good concept, we have to have a salary cap

We see Bryce every day, we know what he knows, where he’s at and where we need him to get and the time and effort he’s putting into everything

(Hate is) a strong word, but I want to win that game as bad as anybody in Ann Arbor

Would we have a better chance to win if I hated them?

There’s periods in practice or the weight room that it’s talked about

Nathaniel Staehling is instinctive, he reminds me of some of the backers you’ve seen in the NFL

It’s been really good to have him on the field

So, those three guys right there are probably the top three as far as putting pressure on the quarterback

We’ve probably got 5 or 6 that are really playing at a high level

When all’s said and done, we want about seven guys that we feel confident we can put in the game

Jamie Ffrench is starting to come into his own

The offensive line is starting to take shape

Babalola is doing a nice job out there

We got to get the five best football players out there

We get around 10 practices under our belt

We had all these real tall, long, good-looking athletes, but the strength wasn’t there

Bryce will have a lot more confidence in his O-line this year

You watched the tape last year and (Underwood) was running for his life quite often

He’’d be the quarterback of the whole secondary

We feel that we have five or six guys, four for sure, that could roll through there and win games for us

Hate's a strong word

Little thin in the secondary as far as guys that have accumulated a lot of reps

You want your quarterback to be confident, and if that’s his belief and feel, that’s great, I have no problem with that

Urban Meyer was a huge influence on me in terms of my head coaching philosophy

When you coach guys for a couple of years, you get to know your personnel and what to expect

With NIL raising 20, 30 or 40% a year, it’s not sustainable to stay on the path we’re on right now

You better have the vision of winning Big Ten championships and competing for national championships

He's got a tremendously high ceiling and he wants to be great

I stepped down and wasn’t sure if there was going to be more to the career or not
