A black lunch pail painted with the names of Hokie defenders past and present. Frank Beamer's defenses (1995-2015) carried it as the symbolic icon of working-class defensive identity — the 'Beamer Ball' brand of special-teams + defense as offense. Still on the sideline.

Hokie Stone is the gray dolomite limestone found in Blacksburg quarries, used to build every campus structure since 1872. The pattern (gray with maroon-orange flecks) appears in helmet decals, jerseys, alumni gifts. Architectural identity that doubles as football branding.
